My Story

My interest in the creative industry stems from my teens, when I was involved in amateur dramatics and the refurbishment of an old canoe store in Maidenhead into what was Maidenhead Village Youth Theatre, a tiny 40 seat theatre which ran for a number of years.

I went on to study theatre design at college, which involved designing sets, costumes, mask making and also film studies. After leaving I worked for a number of years as a decorator in specialist paint finishes. My ambition was to work in tv or film, however at the time, sadly could not break into it.

My career path has been varied.  I’m highly adaptable and possess exceptional communication, interpersonal and IT skills with a high attention to detail. I am also very organised and efficient, able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, all skills which I believe would transfer well to the creative industries.

I also buy and sell vintage and antique items, (#hibsvintage), however props is where my passion truly lies as it combines my love of making things with sourcing and finding items.
